Steve Vai Signature Jemini distortion pedal gets a glowing review at MusicRadar.com, plus sound clips!
All aspects of the JEMINI are expressions of him, as are his axes. Within the multi-colored die-cast casting, two identical distortions are built in for a variety of sonic occasions: and the unique large LEDs tell you they are in operation not only on a dark stage, but even under the daylight. Not just a twin distortion pedal, the Ibanez JEMINI powers you and your axe up as it does Steve and his guitars.

Headstock distribution presented a typically strong showing of both products and artists at the inaugural London International Music Show. Huge crowds were drawn to the IBANEZ stand in the guitar hall by both the unveiling of the JS20TH Joe Satriani 20th Anniversary signature guitar and an appearance from Joe Satriani himself. Both were met with an enthusiastic reaction from both the trade and the public, who poured over the 2008 line-ups of IBANEZ Electric, acoustic and bass guitars.
The LANEY stand was no different, with the ever-popular 2008 range of guitar and bass amplification attracting considerable attention. Demonstrator Steve Smith was on hand to put the amps through their paces, from the silky boutique tones of the ‘Class A’ Lionheart range to the aggressive metal ‘crunch’ of the military styled LX Camo range, there was something for everyone to be found on the stand’s many lit podiums.
Not only was the LIMS show the first of its kind in the UK, but it also saw the unveiling of a ‘first’ for Headstock – the introduction of our new distribution arm ‘Headstock Pro’ to both the public and the MI Trade, with its flagship range of MYAUDIO high end PA equipment on display for the very first time.
The Drummer Live Hall saw a similarly varied showing of both established and new products. At the centre of the newly designed TAMA display was the monstrous TAMA ‘Spartan’ limited edition steel drum set (one of only 50 worldwide), flanked by the entire range of ‘Warlord’ snare drums. The trend-setting Superstar ‘Hyperdrive’ kits attracted considerable attention throughout the weekend, and Tama endorsees Pete Biggin and Cherisse Osei dropped by the stand to check out the coolest new gear.
In addition to the showing of our hottest amp, guitar and drum lines were performances throughout the weekend from Headstock artists.
The London Guitar Show saw a stunning performance from Paul Gilbert who performed at the main stage on Saturday afternoon to a packed auditorium. HeadlinerJoe Satriani followed this with an inspiring main stage performance on the Sunday, preceding his hotly anticipated arrival on the HEADSTOCK stand.
The Saturday evening of the show was dominated by the REMO Drummer’s Night, an event staged to raise both awareness and funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Headstock provided performances from Paul Stewart (The Feeling) and Cherisse Osei (Mika) both of whom performed their selection of covers with the extraordinary house band. Cherisse choose a classic Zepplin track ‘Good Times, Bad Times’, and Paul surprised many with his choice of a Masters at Work track ‘To Be In Love’.
Drummer Live itself saw a show-stopping performance from Pete Biggin, who took time out of his hectic touring schedule with Mark Ronson, and funk / soul legends Incognito to perform on the Sunday afternoon. Pete played a selection of material, including Mark Ronson’s cover of ‘God Put A Smile On My Face’, Incognito’s ‘Talking Loud!’, and a blistering solo. Pete’s custom made Starclassic Maple Hyperdrive kit provoked compliments from sound men, artists and audience alike, and fans queued around the Tama stand to catch a photo and autograph with one of Britain’s hottest musical talents.
